Who We Are
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation — Dashnaktsutyun — is one of the oldest and most influential Armenian political organizations in the world. Founded in Tiflis in 1890, the ARF has been at the forefront of the Armenian national liberation movement, the struggle for recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and the advancement of Armenian rights globally.
In Canada, the ARF works to preserve Armenian cultural identity, advocate for Armenian political causes, and build a strong, engaged community. Our St. Catharines chapter has been a cornerstone of local Armenian life for generations.

Founded in Tiflis
The ARF is established in Tiflis (Tbilisi) by Christapor Mikaelian, Stepan Zorian, and Simon Zavarian with the goal of liberating Ottoman Armenia.
Genocide Resistance
ARF fedayees lead the heroic defense of Van and other Armenian communities during the Armenian Genocide, saving tens of thousands of lives.
Republic of Armenia
The ARF leads the establishment of the First Republic of Armenia — the first modern Armenian state — on May 28, 1918.
Genocide Recognition
The ARF spearheads the first major commemorations of the Armenian Genocide's 50th anniversary, launching the global recognition movement.
Independence Restored
With the restoration of Armenian independence, the ARF re-establishes its presence in the Republic of Armenia after decades of diaspora work.
Niagara Chapter
